GABIONS (Higher than 1m in height) and MATTRESSES (Less than 1m in height) consist of rectangular units, fabricated from a double-twisted hexagonal mesh.
Filled with stones, gabions become large, flexible and permeable elements from which a broad range of structures may be built. Gabions and mattresses are widely used for hydraulic and geo- technical control such as retaining walls, riverbank protections, weirs, channel linings etc.
Gabion box is basket or mesh roll made of twisted hexagonal wire Mesh, Gabion box is filled with rock at the project site to form flexible, permeable, monolithic structures such as retaining walls, channel linings and weirs for erosion control projects.
Specification:
Standard sizes in mesh 80mm x 100mm nominal, wire diameter 2.7mm, Heavily zinc galvanised wire or Galfan coated with a 95%Zinc + 5% Aluminium Alloy.

Applications:
