ASME elliptical carbon steel dished head
Dished head (also called tank heads, vessel head) is the end caps on a cylindrical shaped pressure vessel which is made with carbon steel, stainless steel and other alloy steel. The Pressure Vessel Head is cold processed or hot-formed, seamless and stress treated, these tank heads are widely used in industrial storage or pressure vessels such as storage tanks, heat exchangers, towers, reactors, boilers and separations equipment. Features of our tank head:
1.Precision tank head is composed of half ellipsoid and a cylindrical straight segments. The Straight section can avoid mutation of radius of curvature between the connection welds of the head and cylinder, thus improving the stress status of the welds.
2.As The Meridian curvature change of ellipsoidal part of the tank head is smooth and continuous, the stress distribute uniformly.
3.Easy to punch forming compared with the hemispherical head, because the depth of ellipsoidal head is smaller than the hemispherical head. (torispherical heads)
