Introduction to Excavator Ship
An excavator ship has a self-propulsion system, is equipped with excavator and conveyor belt equipment. It is used for water transshipment operation and suitable for bulk cargo ship without unloading function. It shifts bulk goods with the excavator on the ship to the unloading hopper mouth, then conveys the cargo to large cargo ships or docks through convey belt, having changed the complicated traditional bulk cargo unloading procedures -- “grasping-shipping-unloading”, improved the unloading speed and reduced unloading costs as the same time. Moreover, it meets the shipment trimming function to transshipment bulk cargo ships and solves the problem that the large ships cannot enter the port for loading and unloading operations due to the limit of natural water depth of the channel.
