The HLCM panel is a dot-matrix passive-driven LCD using flat glass substrate. It contains Halation’s proprietary bistable liquid crystals and its driver is COG (chip on glass) based.
MSLC display module is using the similar structure of dot matrix STN LCD and its process, but has advantages in many different application fields
Flexibility for Customer Size
Halation provide standard sizes from 2inch to 4inch, but customer sizes could also be provided by low cost tooling within short period and limited volume.
High Yield Existing Supply Chain
Halation is using existing STN production line for MSLC display volume production with high yield rate. The volume can easily ramp up.
