Double-layer FIBREGLASS of silicon rubbertubing ----FIBREGLASS inside and silicon rubber outside, have been weaved astubing withalkali FIBREGLASS yarn, coated with silicon rubber in hightemperature. It is better insulating speciality than FIBREGLASS sleeve pipe ofsilicone, put out itself and flexibility, apply to electrical machinery ,household appliances , heating equipment ,etc. and insulating protectionextensively.
Fiberglass (FG) sleeving is composed of a tightlybraided, highly flexible, continuous filament E glass which has beenheat-treated to remove starches and oils, and to "set" the braid. FGmaintains about half of its strength at temperatures up to 750°C. FG isavailable in natural silver gray only.
FG isused in high temperature, low voltage (up to 300V) applications such astoasters, coffee makers, and other small heating appliances. Its flexibilityand expandability allows for use over irregular shapes. It is also used in wireharness assemblies as well as for thermal protection of insulated wires againstdamage from external heat sources. It is also an ideal choice for sleevingapplications where varnishing or vacuum pressure impregnation is used.
SaturatedFiberglass(FGS) sleeving is made in a similar fashion as the FG, except after heattreatment, it is saturated with acrylic resin formulated to provide excellentfray resistance when cut. The resin also stabilizes the fibers, which reducesoperator skin irritation. Although the acrylic resin degrades at operatingtemperatures above 200°C, FGS continues to provide thermal and space factorinsulation as high as 650°C with continuous operation at 450°C.
