THT-APS Arc Flash Protection System
1. General
Necessity of installations of the APS arc light integrated protection system
In the electrical power system, the following reason may cause short-circuit fault with arc light within the switchgear
Fault operation of the disconnecting switch
Switch on with ground connection
Forget to measure the voltage of the working area
Device fault or faulty operation of electrified device
Tools omitted in the switch cabinet after normal device maintenance
False wiring or bus connecting
Insulation aging, mechanical deterioration and over voltage
Environmental factors including dust, temperature, humidity and small animals.
Product introduction
The THT-APS series arc light integrated protection system is composed by the THT-APS-MU bus protection primary unit, the THT-APS-FU feeder protection unit and so on.
This product is mainly applied to:
Bus protection in the medium and low voltage switchgear of various power stations, transformer substations, distribution substations and box-type substations systems.
Connector in the cable chamber of the feeder cabinet, and breaker cabinet protection;
Rectification cabinet protection;
Other equipment with easy occurrence of arc light, such as high voltage electrical machine junction box protection
3. Production Composition
Three parts in a complete of are flash protection1) THT-APS-MU primary unit
The primary unit is the core of the arc light protection system, which is used to collect, measure and calculate input in different kinds to realize setting-up of various protection logics.
THT-APS-AC arc collection unit
The arc collection units is added when the collection points are beyond 16, and each unit can provide 16-way arc collection input at most.
3) THT-APS-FU Feeder protection unit
The feeder protection unit is independently used as feeder type arc protection unit,and each unit can provide 3-way arc collection input at most.
