The Wireless Dog Fence aka Instant Fence from PetSafe (PIF-300) can be setup in an instant -- just plug in the cord turn the unit on, and your done!  The Petsafe PIF-300 Wireless Dog Fence is completely portable, you can take it - and your pet - wherever you go! How the Wireless Dog Fence Works

Plug in the transmitter somewhere inconspicuously in your home, garage, or tool shed. The Petsafe Instant Fence (PIF-300) uses a constant radio signal to create a "stay zone". Buckle the radio receiver collar around your dog's neck snugly. Turn it on. If your dog wanders near the boundary of the STAY zone, the radio collar sounds a warning tone first. If your dog continues to progress towards the edge of the boundary zone, one second later he will get a corrective static shock (at the level you initially set the collar for). If he continues to wander farther, the correction gets progressively stronger until your dog returns. This Petsafe PIF-300 Wireless Dog Fence does have an Automatic Safety Shut Off after 27 seconds. Boundary ranges are set instantly with the dial on the base transmitter. With the Petsafe Instant Fence (PIF-300), your pet is safe, and your mind is at ease! Fits dogs 11 lbs and up.*
