4. Heat Treatment
a. Grade A plates 65 mm and under in thickness shall be supplied in either the normalized or quenched and tempered condition.
b. Grade A plates over 65 mm in thickness and Grade B and Grade C plates in all thicknesses shall be quenched- and-tempered

A 738 Grade C : min 550-690Mpa

Elongation : 20-22%
6. Mechanical Requirements
Tension Test Requirements shall conform to the requirements of Tensile properties.
8. Application Fields: This specification covers heat-treated carbonmanganese-silicon steel plates intended for use in welded pressure vessels at moderate and lower temperature service.
9. Trade Terms: FOB, CFR, CIF , CNF.
10. Payment Terms: T/T, 100% Irrevocable at sight L/C
11. Delivery Time: 30-35days

4. Heat Treatment
The plates shall be heat treated by heating to not less than 1650 F [900 C], quenching in water or oil and tempering at not less than 1150 F [620 C].
5. Chemical Composition and property.
A: Chemical detail of each grade see the A 517/ A 517M-06.
B: Property in the following:
Tensile strength : 795 to 930MPa under 65mm in thicknes, 725 to 930MPa from 65mm to 150mm in thickness.
Yield Strength min : 690Mpa under 65mm in thickness, 620MPa from 65mm to 150mm in thickness.
Elongation : 14-16 percent
6. Mechanical Requirements
a. Tension Tests: The yield strength may be determined by the 0.2 % offset method or by the total extension under load of 0.5 % method.
b. Impact Properties Requirements: Transverse Charpy V-notch impact test specimens shall have a lateral expansion opposite the notch of not less than 0.015 in. [0.38 mm].
