Description of Galvanized steel coils

a) Galvanized steel coils definition: apply pickling to cold rolled hard steel plates after annealing treatment to remove surface oxide, make them go through solvent troughs containing zinc chloride and ammonium chloride, galvanize them in molten zinc troughs, and give post treatment such as deactivation and oiling, to produce galvanized steel plates.
b) Galvanized steel coils features: their surface texture is divided into normal spangles (Z), small spangles (X) and polished spangles (GZ). Surface of galvanized steel plates has fish scale shape or tree leaf shape zinc crystallization pattern. With solid galvanizing coat, the product has excellent anticorrosive property, good welding property, and cold processing and molding property. According to production and processing, they are divided into the following types. 1) Hot dip galvanized steel plates. Dip steel plates in molten zinc troughs to make a zinc coat adhere to their surfaces. Currently, the continuous galvanization is main production workmanship. In other words, continuously dip steel coils in molten zinc galvanizing troughs to produce galvanized steel plates. 2) Electro-galvanized steel plates. The electro-galvanizing method is used to make these steel plates and they have good processability. But the zinc coat is thin and their anticorrosive property is lower than that of hot dip galvanized steel plates. 3)Single-face galvanized steel plates and double-face differential galvanized steel plates. The single-face galvanized steel plates are the product with galvanization on one face. They have better adaptability than double-face galvanized steel plates in terms of welding, coating, rust proofing treatment and processing. In order to overcome shortcoming of no galvanization on the other face, a thin galvanizing coat may be applied to the other face to make double-face differential galvanized steel plates. 4) Alloy and clad galvanized steel plates. They are steel plates galvanized with alloy made from zinc and other metals such as lead and clad treatment. This type of steel plates has both excellent rust proof property and good coating property. Except abovementioned four types, there are color galvanized steel plates, printing coated galvanized steel plates, and polyvinyl chloride laminated steel plates. Currently, the most commonly used product is hot dip galvanized steel plates.
c) Galvanized steel coils uses: according to uses, galvanized steel plates are divided into general, roof, building outside, structural, corrugated, tension, and deep drawing purposes.
