Description of Hard cold-rolled steel coils

a) Hard cold-rolled steel coils definition: at normal temperature, use hot rolled pickling steel plates as base steel plates to make continuous rolling.

b) Hard cold-rolled steel coils features: cold work hardening arising from continuous cold deformation offers higher strength and hardness and lower toughness and plasticity of rolled hard steel coils, so they have worse pressing property and are used for parts with single deformation only. Rolled hard coils can be used as raw material of hot galvanizing works because hot galvanizing units have annealing lines. The weight of a rolled hard coil is usually 6-13.5 tons and its internal diameter is 508mm or 610mm. Usually, continuous annealing shall be applied to cold continuous rolled steel plates or coils to eliminate cold work hardening and rolling stress to meet mechanical property requirements stated in relevant standards. The weight of each bale of baled steel plates is 35 tons and the weight of a coil after skin rolling and coil dividing usually is 3-10 tons.

c) Product uses: surface appearance and dimension accuracy of cold rolled steel plates are better than those of hot rolled steel plates and their thickness can be rolled to 0.18mm, so they are welcome in customers. Vibration reduction clad steel plates and PVC-coated steel plates made from cold rolled steel coils give beautiful and highly anticorrosive products, getting wide application. After annealing, finishing must be applied to cold rolled steel coils, including head, tail and edge cutting, leveling, flattening and recoiling or transverse cutting for steel plates. Cold rolled products are widely used for automobile, household appliance, instrument and switch, building and office furniture sectors.
