PLUG GAUGES FOR LAMPHOLDERS B22 7006-12-8
For details of lampholders BA21, B15 and B22, see sheets 7005-15, 7005-16 and 7005-10 respectively.
PURPOSE: To check dimensions Amin, Amax, Bmin, D1min, Nmax and the diametrical position of the slots of lampholders BA21, B15 and B22 respectively.
TESTING: It shall be possible to insert the GO side of the gauge into the lampholder and turn it so that the pins pass the lowest points of the retaining slots and reach the seating point without using undue force.
It shall not be possible to insert the NOT GO side of the gauge by its own weight.
This test shall be made at least twice, the gauge being turned through approximately 90° the second time.
In case of "all ceramic" construction, the NOT GO side can be inserted by its own weight, but not in all positions. The lampholder shall further fulfil the test of the gauge shown on sheet 7006-12D (B15) or 7006-12B (B22).
(1) The gauge for BA21-3 lampholders shall have the three pins disposed at angles of 120° as shown on sheet 7004-13. The angular tolerance shall be ± 15’.
