Introduction:

TheEuropean standard EN 14420-7 was approved by CEN in September 2004, and wasapplied to cam & groove couplings manufactured to American “militaryspecification” MIL-C-27487 / A-A-59326A. This American standard does not apply o the connection side, but only tothe coupling side. Other parts likelevers, bolts, rings and seals are not standardized.

Cam& groove couplings produced to EN 14420-7 are interchangeable with thoseproduced to the original MIL-C-27487 standard, but differ in terms of hose taildesign, thread, part number etc. A flatthread seal has been added to the female threaded parts, and a smooth hoseshank complying with EN 14420-2 / DIN 2817 has been added for assembly with RKsafety clamps complying with EN 14420-3 / DIN 2817.

N.B.:European standard EN 14420-7 replaces DIN 2828 but does not replace MIL-C-27487and Federal Mil A-A-59326A.
