High-weir spiral classifier
Kunding High-weir Spiral Classifier is one of the most widely used classifiers. It is mainly applied to classify the granules in the ore pulp in metal processing and to deslime, dehydrate in ore washing process. In addition, this machine can be employed in wet magnetic separation and deironing.
Operating principle
The overflow weir of High-weir Spiral Classifier is a little higher than the center of the underneath spiral shaft, but lower than the upper edge of spiral blades. Besides, the length of fluid level classified is not long, which is directly affected by the agitation of spiral blades. So it has wide application in coarse classification. Based on that granules of different gravity have different sedimentation rates in liquid, the pulp is introduced into the inclined trough from the side of it and forms a setting pool in which rough particles of high falling velocity quikly fall to the bottom of trough and then are conveyed up by screws’ mechanism and discharged. At the same time, the fine granules are discharged with the pulp through the overflow weir which is connected to a pipe.
