RRU3908 is outdoor RF unit, mainly complete processing GSM baseband, RF signal and UMTS RF signal.

RRU3908’s main function includes:

› Provide the CPRI Interface communication with BBU3900.

The GSM system uses a variable frequency technology in the transmission channel, the digital baseband signal up conversion, digital to analog changes to an intermediate frequency, and then on the conversion to GSM emission band, through the filter after amplification by duplex filter, RF front end unit sent to the transmitting antenna.

› UMTS system under the baseband signal by rf front-end unit duplex filter directly to the antenna to launch.

› Via antenna to receive radio frequency signals, will receive the signal frequency down to the if signal, and amplified, analog-digital conversion, digital down converter and matching filter, AGC and send to BBU3900 for processing.

› Power control and standing wave detection.

› Frequency synthesis.

› CPRI interface clock circuit, restore and alarm detection function, complete the CPRI interface driver.
