Overview
The FRP anchor bolt is an excellent choice for anchoring in high gas content area such as the coal mine, due to its non-conductive and flame resistance which ensure the safety in underground works. Not only in slope supporting in mining, but also in traffic, municipal works, water and hydropower projects have the FRP anchor bolt been widely applied.
The FRP anchor bolt is made of unsaturated resin as the basic material and fiber glass as the composite material by pultrusion, and is full threaded along the whole anchor rod. The characteristics of the material makes the FRP bolt much lighter and own higher strength than the steel anchor bolt, and helps improve the efficience greatly. Another significant advantage of the FRP anchor bolt is that the cuttability of the material avoids the damage of the cutter head when trimmed in temporary cases and makes contributes to the production cost minimization.
Component
The FRP anchor bolt system consist of an anchor rod, an anchor pallet and an anchor nut.
The anchor rods are made of high quality pultrusion resin and fiber glass and other materials, and they have been threaded continuously over the whole length. The whole rod turns out to a uniform appearance with no bubble or flaw.
The anchor pallet and the nut are processed in pultrusion as well.

Benefit of the FRP anchor bolt
*high tensile strength: when compared with the steel anchor bolts with the same diameters, the FRP anchor bolts double the value of tensile strength.
*low weight: the weight of a FRP anchor bolt is only a quarter of the steel anchor bolt with the same specification. That helps to reduce the worker’s labor intensity and the transportation cost.
*antistatic: The basic material of the FRP bolt is non-conductive, and no sparks will appear when trimmed.
*flame resistance: the structure of the FRP provides good thermal isolation.
*corrosion resistance: The life span of FRP anchor bolt is up to 100 years theoretically.
*good ductility and cuttability: The attributes of the material satisfies the ductility, and makes the bolt easily trimmed when needed and therefore prolong the life of the cutter.
