A neutral grounding resistor limits thefault current to a value which is sufficient enough to operate protectiverelays, yet prevent unwanted fault damage.
Safety enclosure: ourresistor assemblies are available with grounded safety enclosures to protectpersonnel and wildlife from harm. Screened and louvered enclosures areavailable in a variety of finishes including painted, power coated, millgalvanized, hot-dipped galvanized, aluminum and stainless steel.
Electrical tests
All units are factory tested in accordance with IEEE Standard 32-1972,specifically Section 10.1.4 and10.3.2. The procedure includes a resistance measurement test to verify that thetolerance is within +10%, and an applied potential test. A copy of the testreport is included with each shipped unit.
