Although you make a valid point at the same time it is very important to understand the total cost of the power inverter system and prescribing the best solution using all the components to meet the requirements of the farm. Every site is different hence the total balance of systems cost needs to be a primary focus in the success of the project. As an example: this is a main focus of Solar power inverters and we all know how successful their model has been over the years.

What PV technology and how much is one PV 240W module ?
The issue is I am offered PV cells alone at €1,5 or PV 240W modules are traded
on PV Echange at $1.5 - €2 for spot deliveries.
Do you mean PV inverter system connected to grid + PPA inked + extended 20-year warranty insured by your or another insurance company ?
Is the above price valid for one roof system or for a council financed solar town district, subsidized offer?
As risk analyzing is our main business please be aware of:
- Don\'t focus on modules or inverters but on complete the system (= modules + inverters + cables). With a wrong configuration you loose a lot of efficiency
- Ask for references (and don\'t hesitate to check them out) of the installer
- Read the warranty contract very carefully
- Ask your installer how the after sales is organized (and let them put that on paper)
- Do they offer an inverter service and maintenance contract
- Try to find out or they are still there if you have a warranty issue in 10 years or how they secure warranty obligations in the future. more...
