Select OK. The new information is now displayed in the selected Board (or Circuit) Error Correction step.
In the example, step one now uses r1 [diode-axial] in circuits 1, 4, and 2.
Auto Miss Mark (dual head machines only)
Use the Auto Miss Mark (AMM) option to define a location on a board or circuit for a stamp mark that indicates that a misinsertion has occurred. The stamp is visible to an inspector indicating that the board is not complete.
Considerations:

47139810 Rev. - Steps
#NAME?
- Circuit selected:
Define for Offset Circuits checkbox selected: An AMM location can be defined for the circuit. The location is then automatically defined for each associated offset.

Define for Offset Circuits checkbox cleared: An AMM location can be defined for the selected circuit. Locations are not defined for associated circuits.
- Offset selected: An AMM location can be defined for the selected offset only. Use this option to stamp the board in a specific place for each circuit (or offset). For example, a specific location on the border of the board can be defined for each circui
Different AMM locations can be defined by repeating the process and selecting a different offset each time.
Prerequisite: The AMM Pattern Step checkbox in the Auto Miss Marker dialog box must be selected. Refer to the Machine Configuration module for details.
To define an auto miss mark location:
1. From the Steps window, select:
Special Steps > Add > Auto Miss Mark
The Select Automatic Miss-Mark Circuit dialog box is displayed.
2
Select the Board or Circuit to which an auto miss mark locations is to be defined and select OK.

3
Enter the coordinates in the X Position and Y Position entry fields.
4
If Circuit was selected in step 2, to stamp each offset associated with that circuit, select the Define for Offset Circuits checkbox.
5
Select OK. The auto miss mark entry is added to the Steps window as follows.
. Board selected.
. Circuit selected.

The Automatic Miss-Mark dialog box is displayed.
Checkgap (axial machines only)
Use the Checkgap option to define a gap between sequences of components. A checkgap is an insertion with a check for no continuity to verify a gap in the component sequence. If a machine uses sequenced reels of components, and if there are gaps between the sequences, a checkgap must be defined.
During processing, when a checkgap step is encountered, the table moves to the X-Y position of the next insertion.
Checkgaps can be defined between boards and/or between individual circuits/offsets.

Checkgap between boards: Place the checkgap before the first insertion after each index. If there are no insertions for an index, no checkgap is necessary.

Checkgap between circuits: The insertion steps must be ordered by circuit before a checkgap can be used. For example, all insertions in one orientation for each circuit must be grouped. Place the checkgap before the first insertion for each circuit.
To define a checkgap:

1. From the Steps window, select:
Special Steps > Add > Checkgap
The cursor is displayed as a horizontal arrow with a single footprint.
2
Select the step in the list that is above or below (depending on the in-sert option choice) where the checkgap is to be inserted.
3
Select the left trackball button. The checkgap is inserted in the list ac-cordingly. (Refer to the Insert topic later in this module for details about selecting the insert option.)
The checkgap entry is added to the Steps window.

Search
Use the Search menu bar heading to search, select, and replace items based on defined parameters.
Search and replace considerations:

The search is based on the step type which is selected from the Step list box. Once the step type is selected, unrelated data fields and option buttons are disabled.

When the cursor is moved to a data field in the Search and Replace dialog box, the Valid Entries list box displays the valid entry choices for the selected parameters.

Use the greater than (>) or less than (<) symbols in the search string to focus the search. For example, to search for all X position values greater than 2.000 inches, enter >2000 in the X Position field.
