Description
Double deep racking stores two pallets deep in a double entry rack. Access goods by the special forklift which can be adjustable and slippage.
General Description:
Designed to increase storage capacity, double-deep racking system is capable to store two pallets deep in a single-entry rack or four pallets deep in a double entry rack. This system is particularly beneficial when the throughout is low while fast movement of pallets is not critical. A special reaching truck with double-pantograph or extendable fork is used in this racking system.
Double entry racks reduce the aisle to rack ratio but also reduces pallet selectivity, increasing storage density.
50% immediate pallet access provides reasonable stock rotation on a FILO (First In Last Out) basis and makes good use of all available locations. This system is best used when each Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) has several pallets.
The system requires the use of a special reach truck with either dual pantograph or slide fork attachments.
Upper levels can be fitted with pallet safety bars to assist forklift drivers in locating pallets, they also help reduce fork truck operator error and accidental impact damage.
Advantages of Double Deep Pallet Racking:
Modified reach trucks with the ability to stack two pallets deep operating in almost conventional reach truck aisles store pallets in single entry racks. Back to back racks are four pallets deep. This reduces the aisle to rack ratio but also reduces selectivity, (FILO). Truck lift heights limited by load, to about 9 meters. Usually the upper levels have front to back rail guides to assist the driver locating the rear pallet at height.

Shelving Structure: upright, beam, horizontal branching, diagonal bracing, foot plate and other accessory
Uprights: There are 3 models for upright; they respectively are 90*60*1.5(or 2.0) mm, 100*75*2.0(or 2.5) mm, 120*90*2.0(or 2.5) mm. We will choose one according to your storage situation.
Beam: there are 2 types for beam, one is Square Tube Beam with 80*40*1.5mm, 100*50*1.5(or 2.0) mm and 120*60*(or 2.0) mm.
Another is double C shape beam, with size 85*30*1.2(or 1.5) mm, 85*40*1.5mm, 105*40*1.5mm, 125*40*1.5mm, 125*45*1.5mm, 145*45*1.5(or 2.0) mm. We will choose one according to your storage situation.
Connection between Upright and Beam: The frame is assembled by uprights and bracings and beams are fixed to uprights by hooks. There are safety locks to fix beams and uprights tightly, protecting beams from dropping when loading goods with forklifts
Height of Each Layer: it can be adjusted by pitch 75 mm freely
Aisle width: Aisle width can be fixed within 2400 - 3200mm depending on the forklift truck
Levels: it is optional, according to your actual need
Capacity: Load capacity is 500 to 1000kg per pallet
Surface Treatment: static powder coating, which protects the rack from rusting and gives an attractive finish.
Color: RAL color system
Process: all the accessories of the rack are processed by polishing, acid cleaning, phosphating, automatic static sprayed, baking and so on.
