3.Condition of Delivery for S690QL1(Q+T) steel plates:Water quenched and tempered(Q+T)
4.Typical Applications of S690QL1(Q+T) steel plates:Heavy road vehicles: chassis, dumper bodies.Cranes construction: booms of mobile cranes. Structural steelworks: bridge components, components for offshore structures. Pressure vessels: fixed and transportable storage tanks, vessels. Power plants: penstocks, spiral cases. Mining equipment: roof supports etc.
5.Number of Tests for S690QL1(Q+T) steel plates:Tensile test and impact test (3 samples), every 40 t, or per heat treatment unit respectively
6.Cold-Forming of S690QL1(Q+T) steel plates: S690QL1 is suitable for cold-forming adhering to a bending or folding radius of > 4 times plate thickness longitudinal and > 3 times transverse to rolling direction. A subsequent stress relief annealing is possible up to a temperature of 580°C.
7.Hot-Forming of S690QL1(Q+T) steel plates:Hot-forming above 580°C is possible. A subsequent quenching and tempering has to be carried out according to the conditions of delivery
8.Flame-Cutting for S690QL1(Q+T) steel plates:Material with temperatures under 5°C and thicknesses ≤ 40mm should be preheated to RT. S690QL1(Q+T) Plate thicknesses > 40mm should be preheated to 100°C, 80mm and over should be preheated to 150°C.
9.Welding:S690QL1(Q+T) steel plates is suitable for all current welding methods. In principle, preheating is not necessary for thicknesses up to 30mm.
