In the process of beer production, the wort,filtration and packaging process all require energy, particularly the wort boiling process which nearly occupy 42% of thermal energy consumption in the process of beer production. From the current production level of China, each ton of beer production will consume about 3000-4000KJ heat energy, equaling the standard coal to 100-130KJ,and some factories’ energy consumption up to 5000KJ a ton, equaling the standard coal to 180Kg, in addition to the management level of factories, it also have great relations with whether or not equipped with the heat recovery equipment, and the attention to energy conservation.

      The wort boiling heat consumption is the major of breweries’ heat consumption, the wort boiling process will creat a lot of secondary steam. The traditional wort system has no heat recovery system, which is a great waste. If we can recycle the secondary steam produced in boiling wort process and provide the energy for the process of wort preparation, brewing hot water and washing-used hot water CIP, we can save more steam and reduce the cost of beer production.
