C:≤ 0.24 Si:0.15-0.5 P:≤ 0.035 S:≤ 0.035 Cu:≤0.35 Ni:≤ 0.25 Cr:≤0.25 Mo: ≤0.08
Mn: 0.7-1.35(thickness under 40mm); 1-1.6(thickness above 40 mm)
2. ASTM A537 CL2 Mechanical properties:
Tensile Strength σb(MPa) :
550-690 (thickness under 65mm);
515-655 (thickness between 65-100mm);
485-620(thickness between 100-150mm)
Yield Strength σ0.2 :
≥415(thickness under 65mm);
≥380 (thickness between 65-100mm);

3.Application:
ASTM A537 CL2 steel plates are engineered to be used in pressure vessel applications.ASTM A537 CL2 steel is a higher yield and tensile strength material used in the fabrication of pressurised vessels and steel boilers. ASTM A537 CL2 includes the alloying of carbon, manganese and silicon and is heat treated using the quenched and tempered method which gives the material its residual strength.
