Ni:≤ 0.28 Mn: 0.64-1.46 Cr:≤0.29 Mo: ≤0.09
2. ASTM A537 CL3 Mechanical properties:
Tensile Strength σb(MPa) :
550-690 (thickness between 8-65mm);
515-655 (thickness between 66-100mm);
485-620(thickness between 101-150mm)
Yield Strength σ0.2 :
≥380(thickness between 8-65mm);
≥ 345(thickness between 65-100mm);
≥275(thickness between 100-150mm)
Elongation δ5(%) :
≥ 22 (thickness under 100mm);
≥ 20(thickness between 100-150mm)
3.Application:
ASTM A537 CL3 steel plates are engineered to be used in pressure vessel applications.Steel plate ASTM A537 CL3 is a quenched and tempered steel material, the same with A 537 CL2 in heat treatment.Although the ASTM A537 CL3 only yields strength lower than A 573 CL2, the two grade have a little different in price. ASTM A537 CL3 quenched and tempered temperature is 620, and A 537 CL 2 is 595.
