The main application of bimetal thermostat disc for heating chamber of silicon oil fan clutch lies in the sensitivity for temperature change.And also they can used as a switch in controlling devices in automobiles.
Bimetal thermostat also can be manufactured as spiral and stripe which can give a snap action to temperature change.
Principle Of Operation:
Bimetal thermostat consists of two or more metallic layers which have
different thermal expansion bended together.When heated up,it bends in a pre-determined manner and can be used to measure,regulate and control temperature.
