Flap Scouring Wheel 2"x1" With 1/4" Shank

Flap wheels are used for sanding, grinding, deburring, blending, finishing, and polishing. Coated abrasive flap wheel have a cloth backing and can be more flexible to conform to the shape of a workpiece or less flexible for aggressive stock removal. Interleaf flap wheels alternate non-woven nylon flaps with cloth-backed coated flaps and are typically used for finer finishing and polishing work. Common abrasive materials include ceramic, aluminum oxide, silicon carbide, and talc. Choose from very coarse to ultrafine abrasive grade, or corresponding grit, depending on material being worked and level of precision required. Flap wheels can be unmounted or have a straight or threaded spindle mount.
