step 1. Ends,diaphragms,front and back panels are placed upright on the bottom section of wire mesh
step 2. Secure panels by screwing sprial binders through the mesh openings in adjacent panels
step 3. Stiffeners shall be placed across the corners, at 300mm from the corner. Providing a diagonal
bracing,and crimped
step 4. Box gabion filled with graded stone by hand or with a shovel.
step 5. After filling,close the lid and secure with sprial binders at the diaphragms,ends,front and back.
step 6. When stacking tiers of the weled gabion,the lid of the lower tier may serve as base of the upper
tier.Secure with sprial binders and add pre-formed stiffeners to exterior cells before filling with
graded stones.
gabion structures mesh which are woven by the hexagonal mesh, the diameter thickness of wire gabion depends
on the mesh size, the diameter ranges from 2.0 to 4.0mm. If the material is zinc coated, while the diameter will be 3.0mm to 5.0mm,if material is PVC coated wire, the selvedge wire diameter usually is one gauge thicker than the body wire diameter.

Surface Treatment:
- Electro galvanized, zinc weight Max. 10g/m2, with bad performance of anti-corrosion
- Hot-dip galvanized, zinc weight Max.up to 300g/m2,good performance of anti-corrosion
- Galan (zinc-aluminium alloy), including zinc-5% Al mixed rare earth alloy wire and
- Zinc-10% Al mixed rare earth alloy wire, the best performance of anti-corrosion
- PVC coated, PVC coating is 1.0mm generally.
Diaphragm: one diaphragm per meter is located in the direction of length of box gabion.
