KM70 railway coal hopper wagon is used to transport coal, ore and other bulk goods on railway. The wagon could meet the requirements of fixed marshalling and loading /unloading at power station, ports, coal cleaning plants and steel plants.
Advanced technology and materials have been adopted in car body, air braking system, hand braking system and bogie of coal hopper wagon. It has the advantages of high strength, heavy loading capacity, high anti-corrosion, long operation term with short maintenance period.

2. Main structure
The railway coal hopper wagon is all-steel welding sturcture. It consists of underfarme, side wall, end wall, hopper, ladder, bottom hopper door and bogie etc.
2.1. Underframe
The underframe is a bridge girder type. The finished underframe is perfectly square without any twist in horizontal plane or negative camber and is strong enough to withstand a minimum ending buffing force of 150 metric tons and/or a minimum traction force of 100 metric tons or all dynamics impact loads without developing any permanent deformation.
2.2 Side wall
The side wall structure is plate and columm structure. It consists of side plate, side post ect..
2.3 End wall
The end wall is strong enough with end post, corner post, cross band and diagonal bracing.
2.4 Hopper
There are four hoppers in carbody. Each hopper bottom door is operated by drive mechanism.
2.5 Air braking system
The Chinese, UIC and AAR standard automatic air braking system could be used.
The NSW hand brake machine is assembled too.
2.6. Coupler and draft gear
Automatic coupler conformed with AAR standard is assembled.
2.7. Bogie
The bogie frame shall be of casting or fabricated type and made from the best quality steel.
2.8. Warranty period: 12 months after commissioning on site.
Service life: 25 years.
2.9. Spare parts and technical training will be provided for free.
