A twin shaft grinder that macerates solids within a flow to prevent pump and downstream equipment blockages.
The Series 'A' Muncher is designed to provide continuous, reliable service over loong periods. With hundreds of installations throughout the world, this slow speed grinder reduces wear rates when compared with traditional high speed macerators.
This twin shaft grinder has shafts fitted with a series of intermeshing cutters and spacers to ensure positive solids grinding. The differential speeds of the shafts pull and tear apart any solids between the cutter stacks, reducing the solids to a small particle size. The macerated flow then passes through the Muncher for easy disposal or transfer.
Suitable for both open channel and pipeline applications, the Muncher can be installed at sewage treatment works, airports (for grinding heavy 'on-board' sewage collected from in-bound aircraft) and a large variety of industrial wet waste applications.
