Disc Wood Chipper

  The series disc wood chippers produce a high-yield, uniform chip quality with low capital investment and low maintenance cost. It is available as a residual chipper or whole log chipper, mainly for round logs. Depending on the feed material, the chippers are available with vertical or slanted discs. The material is horizontally fed into the heavy disc which is equipped with knives. The cut is performed between the vertical rotor knives and the counter knives. The chips are discharged to below. For short feed material, the disc wood chipper is designed with a slanted feeding device.

The design of this series disc wood chippers allows disc to be easily moved towards or away from the anvil, this provides a very tight set-up clearance between the knife and the anvil for producing excellent wood chips. The disc wood chippers are supplied with face-mounted knives and wedges for a damage-resistant, simple knife package.

By the processing, these feed-in materials are turned into high quality, uniform, and multi-application wood chips, which are ideal materials for the manufacture of particle board, MDF and paper pulp. The chips are also well suited as fuel for high intensity burning in modern heating plants.
