INTRODUCTION
Flow Wrap is a flexible system that allows the application of high speed, MAP and sealing systems such as the Long Dwell (a PFM patent). The advantages of the Flow Wrap system can be
- Flexibility, PFM Packagers permit format changes in extremely short times (2-3 minutes), without the replacement of mechanical parts, presses or other equipment
- High speed Packaging
- Lower cost for Packaging material
- MAP Packaging, the application of MAP makes it possible to control the gas inside Packaging and to prolong the shelf life of the product
- Greater ease in cleaning, PFM flow Wrap
- Packages are built with the "cantilevered" design.
- The front of the machine is free and permits direct cleaning of sealing units and areas that have come into contact with the product. The mechanical and electronic parts are protected and lodged at the rear of the machine, in separate compartments
- Reclosable Packaging, the application of the "Open & Reclose" system allows Packages to be closed again and therefore guarantees greater duration of the product even after the first opening

FALCON is a horizontal flow-wrap type packaging machine
PFM FALCONFALCON is a horizontal flow-wrap type packaging machine which produces packs sealed on three sides from a roll of heat-sealable film.Perfect for rapid and frequent set-up changes without compromising high-speed packaging (max 200 mechanical cycles per minute). Packages products in the foodstuffs sector, the cosmetics sector, the pharmaceutical sector and the stationery sector. Cantilever construction. The mechanical and electronic components are housed at the back of the machine, leaving the front clear for the sealing units. Production residues are never in contact with the mechanical parts, while all cleaning and maintenance operations are made extremely quick and easy.

TECHNICAL DATA
- Suitable packaging materials: laminated, bonded or micro-perforated polypropylene, polyethylene, heat-shrinkable and trimmable materials.
- Packaging speed: up to 200 packs/min (300 packs/min for the special version).
- Construction: monoblock cantilevered construction.
- Dimensions of packageable products: length min 15 mm max 600 mm; width min 5 max 380 mm; height max 160 mm. The machine can be adapted for products which exceed the specified dimensions.
- Automatic loading systems: in line, 90º and drop down loading, along with many other systems designed according to specific requirements.
PFM Long Dwell sealing system assures, with suitable films, absolutely airtight seals even and above all at high wrapping speed.
- The sealing with heatsealable films is realized by the optimal combination of three elements: Temperature, Pressure, Time.
- With the same pressure and temperature, PFM Long Dwell system, in comparison with traditional rotative systems, increases the TIME dedicated to sealing and therefore assures airtight seals. Furthermore, it has a perfect temperature and sealing pressure control.
- The guarantee of airtight seals is essential for wrapping in modified atmosphere or when the wrapped product has to suffer no dewatering or come into contact with no outside environment.
- PFM has three Long Dwell sealing systems according to the demanded wrapping speed and product dimensions. In all cases PFM employs mechanical systems excluding any possibility to use pneumatic driving systems.
- PFM Long Dwell systems are available with 1-2-3-4-up crimpers
