Small scale palm oil bleaching machinery for oil refining plant
The objective of refining is to remove objectionable co-constituents in oil with the least possible damage to glycerides and minimal loss of desirable constituents. Ways of refining depend on nature and quantity of impurities contained in crude oil, application of RBD oil.
Classical chemical refining is used through successive steps: it must be degumming, neutralizing, bleaching, deodorizing and sometimes winterizing (Mainly removing free fatty acid and other minor constituents).
The set of equipment has obtained national patent (patent No. is ZL99 25288.7), it is our
developed third generation product with more advanced and mature technology, and it
won GoldMedal on 8th China Fair of Inventions and New Technologies and Silver Medal
on 6th International Invention Exhibition. It adopts intermittent refining craft, and has advantages of convenient transportation, small covering area, less operation staff and saving energy.
Process flow for Seed oil bleaching equipment refinery machine:
1) Machines include:
degumming pot, deacidification pot, bleaching tower, deodorization pot, steam
separator, gear pump, water pump, etc.
2) Process flow:
First step :
Soybean→clean→crack(or rough milling)→softening→flaking→cooking→pressing→crude Oil
Second Step:
Crude Oil→filtering→ Degumming→ Deacidification→ Water Washing→ Drying→ Bleaching/Decoloring
→ Filtration→ Deodorization→ Packing
Seed Oil Refinery Process Flow
Process Description:
1. Degumming
The purpose of degumming is to remove impurities such as phospholipids, gums and proteins etc. There are several methods as follows: water degumming, acid degumming, special degumming etc.
2. Neutralizing
The purpose of neutralizing is to remove free fatty acid in oil by using caustic soda while removing impurities such as phospholipid, pigments, metal ions, peroxide etc. by use of soapstock.
3. Bleaching
Bleaching is the process operation which removes colouring matters by mixing bleaching earth with oil under controlled conditions of temperature. After proper mixing with bleaching earth for a specific residence time, the mixture is finally pumped into leaf filters with stainless steel mesh elements followed by polishing filtration.
4. Deodorizing
Deodorizing is the final stage in oil refining in order to remove odoriferous material, free fatty acids and other undesired minor components by steam distillation under condition of high temperature and vacuum to produce a bland oil with a good shelf life.
5. Dewaxing
Through automation system, combined with crystallization curve (time-amount of crystallinity) of different oil, crystals in oil grow and finally can be separated by filtration to obtain dewaxed oil.

3.Color(lovibond colorimeter 133.4 slots)≤R1 Y10
4.Moisture and volatile matter:≤0.10%
5.Impurities content:≤0.10%
6.Acid value(mgKOH/g):≤0.12
7.Peroxide value(mmol/kg):≤3
