The YSG hammer mill widely used to grind wood chips, wood shavings, small branches, straw(wheat straw and corn straw, cotton straw etc.), rice husk, corn bob, leaves and other wood wastes, agricultural wastes.
YSG hammer mill working principle
1. Materials enter into grinding room, shocked and grinded by hammers which rotate with high speed with large power. Then the grinded materials screened by the sieve.
To protect hammers and extend its lifetime, there is Carbide Welding on the head of hammers.
2. The grinded material like wood sawdust is light, can not dishcarge itself, a fan blower is needed to discharge the grinded materials.
3. For the environmental-protection, we advise the hammer mill work equiped with one set dusting equipments: cyclone, air lock and bag dust collector.

The finished product of YSG hammer mill size about 3-12mm, commonly used sieve is 5mm, 6mm, 8mm.

1. What materials suit to the hammer mill, can it crush big wood?
Rotex: Materials suit to hammer mill is wood chps, wood shavings, straw etc, it can't crush big woods, if your material is big wood, we advise the wood chipper machine.
2. Can the hammer mill grind wet or fresh materials?
Rotex: No, the hammer mill requires materials within 30% moisture, if the moisture is high, then it will jam the sieve, and the hammers lifetime will reduce.
3. Is there much dust in air when the hammer mill working?
Rotex: There is not dust in air when hammer mill equiped with cyclone, air lock and bag dust collector.
