PMG70 Pipelayer is designed with a special chassis and mainly used for various pipe laying operations. The equipment is built with robust features to allow operations under severe weather and operational conditions. It can perform safe operations on a slope of 20°.
Technical Features:
- High mechanical strength chassis: a coupling of high mechanical strength is used to connect the walking stand with the vehicle frame to ensure sufficient support during loading operations. The equipment is built with a wide track space to improve operational stabilities, whereas each side is installed with 9 track rollers for greater loading capabilities and more suitable for side loading operations.
- Safe and reliable braking system: the steering-clutch is designed as a hydraulic-separation normally-closed clutch. When the control lever is released, the clutch is closely. The brake is designed as a wet, floating, pad-type operated by hydraulic power. When the brake pad is tightened and turned to the outer drum of the clutch, the final drive gear stops rotating to make the vehicle turn or stop. The brake pad is made of the material with high friction coefficient to increase the positive pressure of the brake and ensure sufficient brake power.
- Fully-equipped safety gears: the location snubber of both electrically and hydraulically-controlled enables to avoid the boom to reach at the up-moving limit position, and protect it from possible bending damages of the crane boom. The over-rolling protector of the hook helps to avoid it reaching at the up-moving limit position, and protect it from possible damages caused by over-stretching of the slings. The emergency off-loading device may ensure the safe operations of the operator once over-loading and equipment tilting occurs. The torque limiter helps to ensure the equipment to operate always within the rated loading capacity, hence to ensure the safe operation of the equipment.
- It is equipped with a NT855-C360 engine, a unique PT fuel turbo-charged system, and recognized to be light in weight, high in power, high in torque, low in fuel consumption, and easy for maintenance.
- Highly reliable transmission system: it is equipped with a specially designed chassis, and a fluid torque converter with large torque-conversion coefficient for steady transmissions. The final drive is a planetary gear transmission capable of high loading capacities and operational reliabilities.
- Easy maintenance of transmission system: all transmission components are modular assembled for easy installation and disassemble, hence save time on repair and assembling.
- The loading system is designed with a full-hydraulic transmission for steady transmission and good micro performance features. The pipelayer is equipped with a full-hydraulic transmission, and the luffing winch and hoist winch are equipped with low-speed and high-torque motor, whereas a normally-closed brake is installed inside the winches to ensure the reliable self-lock of luffing and hoisting operations. The oil inlets of both luffing winch and hoist winch are installed with a high quality balancing valve supplied by SUN to prevent free-fall failures under rated loading capacities.
- Easy operational features: the driving operation system, including gear-shifting, turning and braking, is controlled by a spool of the control valve corresponding to the direct pull and pushing of flexible shaft and lever, which offers easy, flexible and reliable control operations. The loading system is controlled by a universal fluid control pilot handle to perform control on the boom extension and hook lifting, whereas the extension of the counterweight can be controlled by a hydraulic-controlled pilot handle for flexible and reliable operations. The combination of hydraulic pilot control and hydraulic transmission offers easy and reliable control of the system and unique micro performance features with an accuracy at 2 mm.
- High flexibility: it can be operated in an ambient temperature ranging from -200C to +500C, and works in an exposed dusty environment.
- Operator-friendly driver cabin: a spacious driver cabin with broad-view and a special seat designed with hydraulic shock absorber of mechanical suspension offers convenient driving conditions.
