Base UHF RFID concept
Every object with UHF RFID tag as identification, the UHF RFID
reader hardware include the UHF reader and UHF RFID antenna, Computer as controller and database processor.
The UHF RFID Tag:
l Paper sticker label: These tags can be used with non-metal material surface, like plastics material. These label tag can be printed with any number or pattern. The label size can be customized as you need.
Application: Carton box, Wooden furniture, Plastics material object like Printer, Screen (backside), Television, Projector, Copier etc.
l Anti-metal tag: These tags including the PCB board tag, the plastics case tag, ceramics tag…these tag can be used with metal surface, like Metal
The UHF RFID setting:
The UHF RFID Reader has fix reader, integrated reader and handheld reader.
Fixed reader: Usually have 1,2,4 antenna port, it can be connected with extra antenna. The reader can be fixed on wall, frame, or fixed location.
With large RFID tag detected area.
Integrated reader: Reader integrated with antenna and reader parts, it can be installed anywhere. RFID tag detected range from 10~25 meter.
Handheld reader: Portable device, short range detected distance, for tag check or inventory checking.
As per school/office asset management application, the integrated RFID reader usually be installed on top of the door, when device with tag cross the reader, the device can be detected and alarm. This is for anti-thief application. If you want do device operational service period management, just using the handheld reader to check.
