So How Does Our Misting System Work? When mist produced by a misting system evaporates, it instantly cools the air and reduces the temperature by up to 10°. This happens because the evaporation process needs heat. Once the mist absorbs the heat, the temperature in the greenhouse drops. You will also have the flexibilty to not only cool the Greenhouse but if you increase the presure at the tap it will provide low level watering to your pants!
Benefits Of A Misting System? In many parts of Australia, cooling a greenhouse can be a greater problem than heating it! Keeping the greenhouse cool is accomplished by obtaining a balance of shading, ventilation and humidity. Providing the proper amount of each is the secret to a cool and functional greenhouse.
The brass misting nozzles attached to the system produce super fine drops of water, cooling the air as the water evaporates. The more nozzles that are installed around the greenhouse, the more even the humidity and temperature throughout the space. The increased water pressure can also add more humidity when needed.
The misting system is also a handy vehicle for an easy distribution of fertilizers. Fertilizers released to plants through mist are easily absorbed through leaves. Such fertilizer distribution is very efficient, even and constant and it reaches all plants in the greenhouse equally.

Low pressure misting systems run off any standard garden hose utilizing normal household water pressure.
Generally speaking any misting system operating at less than 100Psi is classified as a low pressure misting system. Low pressure misting systems can cool the outside air by as much as 20ºF.
As with any misting system the lower your humidity the more efficient the misting system becomes.
Low pressure misting systems are a great alternative for someone who does not want to make an investment in a high pressure misting system
