Descriptions of Bicycle ball bearings 2220K
Ball bearings 2220K is recommended when alignment of the shaft and housing is difficult and the shaft may flex. The outer ring has a spherical raceway and its center of curvature coincides with that of the bearing; therefore, the axis of the inner ring, balls and cage can deflect to some extent around the bearing center. Pressed steel cages are usually used.
Ball Bearings 2220K: This bearing series has two rows of balls running on the same spherical outer raceway, this makes the bearing self aligning, self centering and insensitive to angular misalignment. They are particularly suited to applications where considerable shaft deflections are anticipated. Self aligning ball bearings have the lowest rolling friction of all rolling bearings and are the coolest running bearing type even at high speeds.
Ball bearings 2220K outer ring raceway is processed into spherical shape, the inner raceway with two double row deep groove ball bearings, aligning performance. It is mainly used to bear radial load, radial load at the same time, it can withstand a small amount of axial load, but generally can not bear the pure axial load, the speed limit lower than the deep groove ball bearings. This kind of bearings are used for the load prone to bending under the double bearing shaft, and dual bearings coaxial holes can not guarantee that the parts in the strict, but the inner ring and outer ring center line of the relative steepness of the center line of not more than 3 degrees.
Ball bearings 2220K can bear large radial load, but also can bear certain axial load. This kind of bearing outer ring raceway is spherical, thus having self-aligning capability, when the stress of curved or inclined to the center line and the center line of the inner ring outer ring is tilted relative to no more than 1 degrees to 2.5 degrees, the bearing can still work.

Ball bearings 2220K has two rows of balls and a common concave sphered raceway in the outer ring. The bearing is consequently self-aligning and insensitive to angular misalignments of the shaft relative to the housing. It is particularly suitable for applications where considerable shaft deflections or misalignment are to be expected. Additionally, the self-aligning ball bearing has the lowest friction of all rolling bearings, which enables it to run cooler even at high speeds.
