Introduction
Quartz sand is quartz quartz stone crushing processed.Quartz rock also known as silica, is a kind of hard texture, abrasion resistance, stable chemical properties of silicate minerals.In nature, quartz sandstone, quartzite and vein quartz exist.Quartz sand stone is a consolidated clastic rock, quartz clastic content of more than 95%, derived from a variety of magmatic rocks, sedimentary rocks and metamorphic rocks, less heavy minerals, associated minerals are feldspar, mica and clay minerals.There are two types of sedimentary genesis and metamorphic origin of quartz rocks. The former boundaries of clastic grains and cements are not obvious. The latter refers to quartz ores with deep metamorphic and pure quartz sand.Vein quartz sand is formed by hydrothermal action, almost entirely composed of quartz, dense block structure.Quartz sand has a large variation of mineral content, mainly quartz, followed by feldspar, mica, cuttings, heavy minerals, clay minerals and so on.
Physicochemical properties of refined quartz sand
Quartz sand is a hard, wear resistant, chemically stable silicate mineral.The main mineral composition of quartz sand is SiO2, quartz sand color is milky white or colorless and translucent, 7 hardness, brittle cleavage, conchatus fracture, oil sheen, density 2.65, bulk density (1-20 = 1.6), 20-200 1.5.Quartz sand chemical, thermal and mechanical properties have obvious anisotropy, insoluble in acid, slightly soluble in KOH solution, melting point 1750℃.
