Sillimanite brick is a refractory brick made of sillimanite. After high temperature calcination, sillimanite turn into mullite and free silicon dioxide. Generally, Sillimanite brick is manufactured by high-temperature firing and mud casting.
The physical and chemical properties of sillimanite brick is better than that of high alumina bricks, with refractoriness 1770 ~ 1830 ℃, load softening starting point 1500 ~ 1650 ℃. Sillimanite bricks are mainly used for the formation of flow cavity of the glass chamber, blast furnace lining, furnace throat and ceramic industry kiln furniture.
