       It is used to scan eggs during the whole incubation. More about Candler Eggs have to be scanned once or twice during incubation. Taking chicken as example, the first candling takes place on the seventh or the eighth day to pick out the unfertilized eggs and dead eggs , the second candling takes place on the seventeenth day or the eighteenth day when transfering eggs from setter to hatcher to pick out the dead eggs.
