Introduction

Carbonization method, carbonization process directly determines the strength of the charcoal, calorific value and main performance index of fixed carbon content.

Carburization Process:

carburization process is actually the pyrolysis process, compressed rod in carburization furnace, without the air or into a small amount of air condition, heat decomposition, it besides get solid product of charcoal, and liquid products of wood vinegar and wood tar, gas product wood gas, etc.  moveable carbonization furnace  moveable carbonization furnace

1). Drying process: the temperature of this step is about 120-150 degree, the pyrolysis process going slowly, mainly target is drying, evaporative water, the chemical composition of the briquette is almost the same briquete.  moveable carbonization furnace  moveable carbonization furnace 

2). Pre-carburization stage:in this stage, the temperature goes up to 150-270 degree, Wooden starts to break down, the comparatively unstable components such as wood hemicellulose, starts to break down and turn into carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide and other gases, also produce a small amount of acetic acid and other substances.

The two stage above is endothermic phase.

3). Carburization stage:temperature goes up to 275-450 degree, in this stage, the wooden break down very fast.

Thermal decomposition. The cellulose star to thermal decomposition (decomposition temperature 280-290 degrees), and then the lignin decomposition (temperature 350-450 degrees), generated a lot of breakdown products. In the gas, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide to reduce gradually, and increased hydrocarbons such as methane, etc. Liquid product, contains a large amount of acetic acid, methanol and wood tar. At the same time let out a lot of heat. So this stage is known as the exothermic reaction stage. 

4). Calcination stage:The temperature goes up above 450 degree, by the heating from outside to calcine the charcoal, to discharge residual volatiles in the wood, at this time the generated liquid product is very less. 

 It should be pointed out that there is no obvious boundaries of four stages. Due to the temperature distribution of each part is different in the carburization furnace, the external and internal of the briquette also has a certain temperature deference, may at the same time in different stages of pyrolysis.
