There are three main sections to make cottonseed oil:
Cotton seed pretreatment section, cotton oil extraction section and cotton oil refinery and dewaxing section. The flow chart is as following:
Raw material(cotton seed)→shelling → magnetic separation→vibration separation→quenching and tempering→cooking →flaking → pressing→solvent extraction plant→refining plant→high quality product oil

The process of cotton cake solvent extraction plant
The leaching(extraction) method is to use solvent naphtha (6#) after fully immerse oil meal raw material to high temperature (260 degrees) and extract the oil from seeds meal, after a "technology of six” (degreasing, degumming, dewatering, decoloring, deodorization, deacidification). The biggest characteristic is high oil yield and low production cost, the price is lower than squeezing method.
The extraction(LEACHING) method is widespread used in the market. Because of high oil yield and low production cost, the extraction(leaching) machine is hot sale in the worldwide.
Main parts of cotton solvent extraction plant
The brief introduce of cotton oil processing plants:
a.pretreatment plant shelling and cleaning the cotton, flake cotton, cook the cotton and pressing.
b.send the pretreated cotton cake into solvent extraction plant, use the solvent (normal hexane) to absorb the oil from cotton cake, and then the machines separate the solvent from the oil, the solvent used for recycling and the crude cotton oil goes into refining plant. After extraction, the resid oil in cotton can be lower than 0.8%.
c.crude cotton oil refining and dewaxing for high quality oil.
