Mode of Action

Pseudomonas fluorescens suppresses soil borne diseases which are caused by pathogens due to its adaption to soil application and foliar spray. It enhances plant growth and yield and simultaneously reduces extremity of many diseases. It assists in absorption and uptake of various nutrients and also acts as a growth promoter by producing plant growth promoting substances. Pseudomonas produces Iron chelating siderophores, antibiotics, hydrogen cyanide and lytic enzymes (Cellulase, Chitnase and protease) which are directly involved in the reduction of plant pathogens and thus giving rise to resistance.
