SWEET ORANGE OIL
This oil is obtained by cold pressing process. Sweet orange is a fun oil, especially liked by kids because of its sweet, recognizable fragrance. This oil is used for dull and oily complexions as well as mouth ulcers. It is also used for obesity and water retention as well as bronchitis and chills. It has been of help in constipation, colds, flu, nervous tension and stress related conditions.
Orange oil is an essential oil produced by cells within the rind of an orange fruit (Citrus sinensis fruit). In contrast to most essential oils, it is extracted as a by-product of orange juice production by centrifugation, producing a cold-pressed oil. It is composed of mostly (greater than 90%) d-limonene, and is often used in place of pure d-limonene. D-limonene can be extracted from the oil by distillation.
It has a fresh, sweet, citrus smell and is a valuable treatment oil for many ailments. The oil is extracted from the fruit of the Orange plant (Citrus sinensis) by cold-press method and it is best to only use organic, cold-pressed oils to avoid chemical toxicity. Sweet and Bitter Orange essential oils offer a magnitude of health benefits and therapeutic properties.
