The Super Critical fluid technology is a new-type separation technology in modern chemical separation. The Super Critical extraction takes CO2 as the solvent. As CO2 fluid under Super Critical state has larger density and dielectric constant, larger dissolvability against substances, which can change abruptly when pressure and temperature change therefore it has not only the selection of dissolvability against substances, the separation of the solvent with the extracted substances is also easily. The Super Critical CO2 extraction is specially suitable for fine separation of different components, i.e. Super Critical fine distillation.

  

Take CO2 as the solvent to make extraction and purification upon a lot of products such as biological products, foodstuff and medicines.

 

1. Supercritical CO2 fluid extraction system was very good at thermal sensitivity natural product extraction, as we know, the tradition extraction method usually applied as steam distillation and fractionation, heating will break up thermo-sensitive material in natural product, destroy some active ingredient, SCFE system could working under a constant temperature or even low temperature condition for extraction and separation, keep the material in original characteristics.

Basic Flow:

 

  1. CO2->extraction kettle->separation I-> separation II->return circuit
  2. CO2->extraction kettle->separation I-> separation II->fine distillation column->return circuit
  3. CO2-> extraction kettle-> fine distillation column-> separation I-> separation II->return circuit
  4. CO2->extraction kettle->separation I-> fine distillation column-> separation II->return circuit

 

Extra flows can be increased according to technological requirement:

 

  1. CO2->bottom of fine distillation column-> separation I-> separation II->return circuit, meanwhile raw material (liquid) ->continuous extraction of liquid material in the middle part of the fine distillation column(counter flow)
  2. Separation I or separation II (separated substances) ->sub-pump->middle and upper parts of fine distillation column.

 Commonly, Supercritical fluid extraction device adopts CO2 as the extracting media. The advantages as follows:

 

  

 

1) Convenient in operation. Can be used widely.

 

 

 

2) With an excellent optional function. Extracts can be gained optionally by controlling the pressure and temperature.
