Coconut (Cocos nucifera L.)                 

The Coconut tree is a large palm, growing up to 30 meters (98 ft.) tall, with pinnate leaves 4–6 meters (13–20 ft.) long and pinnae 60–90 cm. long; old leaves break away cleanly, leaving the trunk smooth. The coconut palm fruit is called a coconut. Within the hard outer wrapping is a nut like fruit and within this hard nut are milk, meat and oil. The fruit is edible and is used for food and medicine. The cavity is filled with coconut water, which is sterile until opened. It is clear, colorless and contains sugar, fiber, proteins, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, and provides an isotonic electrolyte balance making it a nutritious food source. It is used as a refreshing drink and is used in isotonic sports drinks.

 


Description:                            

  • Aseptically-Packed Coconut Water is derived from the processing of juice from nine-month old coconut fruits of which optimum quality is maintained until they are processed. The water collected from the coconut is filtered and immediately or rapidly cooled to 2-4°C to avoid fermentation and enzymatic deterioration. The water is then transferred to a jacketed mixing tank, pre-heated, homogenized, sterilized, cooled, filled in aseptic bag and packed in corrugated carton box or in steel drums with PE bag liner.
  • The product is free from extraneous materials.
  • All processes employed are in accordance with "Good Manufacturing Practices" and under strict sanitary conditions.

Applications:

Aseptic Coconut Water is used as a refreshing juice drink and isotonic sports drink. Aseptically-Packed Coconut Water is packed in pre-sterilized aseptic bag in double-walled corrugated carton box or in steel drums with PE liner. Net content is 25 liters per bag in box and 210 liters in drum.
