How does it works?
IPL treatment is effective based on its selective absorbability. When the intense pulsed light penetrates the epidermis, the energy of light will be greatly absorbed by the pigments in epidermis. High energy and dark color skin will be with high risk in treatment. Moreover, majority of the heat is reflected andrefracted at the same time, only 30% to 40% of energy is utilizable. Therefore, it needs to increase the energy for a better treatment result. However, majority heat is absorbed by the pigments inepidermis, which directly block to use high energy for treatment, so that affects the single treatment result.
The principle of IPL
Applying the technique of IPL and Bipolar Radio Frequency,the equipment acts on the entire skin corium and connective tissue,stimulates the collagen of different depth to realing and grow,the gets treatment effect.Biopolar RF release energy at the same time,with the selective absorbtion for the skin to light energy,various pathological tissues of corium and epidermis creates photothermolysis effect.Since light energy is far below conventional IPL,the pigment tissue and vascular pathological tissue of the corium and epidermis would absorb more energy without injuring the epidermis,and then remove these pathological tissue better and get the effect.

1. How does SHR work?
It is a revolutionary approach, rather that bombarding your skin with high amounts of damaging energy. SHR fires multiple shots but at low Joules, in doing so it gently heats the hair follicle to the heat needed and the most you will feel is warmth and a tingling sensation, some clients comparing it to a warm massage. SHR also utilizes In-Motion technology, where the hand piece is always in motion over the skin.
2. What is the first step before treatment?
The first step before any treatment is a consultation, at the consultation we gather medical & other relevant information to ensure you not only receive a safe treatment, but also have all the information needed. Consultation time is 30 minutes and in some cases a treatment can be conducted after your consultation.
3. Is SHR suitable for all skin types?
SHR is suitable for all skin types, even tanners, this is achievable because of the technology and techniques utilized. Unlike traditional Laser and IPL, SHR can be had all year round without having to hide from the sun.
4. Will SHR work on blonde, red or fine hair?
Like all hair removal, hairs that are dark work the best, however with SHR there is generally a better result of up to 50% on blonde, red and fine hairs and in some cases more. As we are all unique results will vary from person to person.
5. How many treatments are needed?
To fully treat the area you may require 3-6 treatments at four week intervals. A four week regime is important to maintain so that the SHR treatments get the hair at its four week re-growth. Near the end of the treatments 6-8 week intervals will be needed to finish off your course.
6. Is there any pain?
It is absolutely pain free, this is achieved by SHR technology and In-Motion techniques, to give you a pain free treatment, including in the most sensitive areas.
7. Is this permanent?
SHR is the closest treatment to absolute permanent hair removal. Unfortunately your body can produce hormones that can simulate further hair growth with some people. After your course of treatments you will have at least 80%-90% of hair gone, with only touch up treatments needed 1-2 times a year.
8. Am I a suitable candidate for Laser Hair Removal?
With the new SHR, almost everyone can enjoy the benefits of laser hair removal, however, the overall effectiveness of laser hair removal is dependent on a combination of your hair and skin colour. Since the beam of light is attracted to the pigment in your hair and your skin, the laser beam will not be able to treat grey or white hair, as there is not sufficient pigment in these hair folical. You should discontinue all tanning activities for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment to avoid any skin pigmentation that may take months to fade.
