Virgin Coconut oil is an edible oil extracted from the kernel or meat of fresh matured coconuts.It has a growing demand as a functional health food and personal/skin care product. It is naturally produced and contains medium chain fatty acids that boost the immune system. It has various applications in food, medicine, comestic,fine chemical and industry. Because of its high saturated fat content it is slow to oxidize and, thus resistant to rancidification, Virgin coconut oil last two years without spoiling.
Virgin coconut oil can be extracted through “fermentation”, "dry" or "we" method processing, but wet method is more suitable for modern industry. Fuyi Machinery makes an intensive study of wet method. Using disc stack centrifuge instead of traditional filter cloth in order to increase throughput in “wet method”. Centrifugal force separate two kinds of proportion liquids as coconut oil and moisture. Through the processing of Fuyi Tubular Centrifuge Separators, the moisture content of oil can be dropped to less than 0.1%, and extremely reduce the time of virgin coconut oil extraction process, thus increase virgin coconut oil output.
Tubular separator is an excellent replacement for many traditional filter and membrane applications due to its high efficiency (virtually no product loss) and small footprint. Additionally, unlike traditional filters, they never require pre-coating or back-flushing and can never clog.
