1.Metal profile Lasts Longer than Wood frame
Metal drywall framing is made by light-gauge, galvanized steel. The galvanization process reduces the risk of corrosion to the absolute minimum compared to untreated steel. Unlike wood, steel does not retain moisture or change its shape over time.
2.Metal profile is Fire Resistant
Unlike wood framing, steel profile will not contribute energy to a fire, nor will it ignite when heated. This is one very important reason for the dominant use of steel framing in commercial construction.
3. Metal profile is a Greener Alternative
Steel, the primary ingredient of metal profile, is completely recyclable. Unlike wood, which produces much more waste during construction, metal framing is relatively waste-free. WMetal framing is significantly lighter than wood. Two metal studs weigh a little less than one wood stud; therefore, the energy required to transport metal framing material is less overall.
