Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) :
(chemical formula (C8H8)x· (C4H6)y·(C3H3N)z) is a common thermoplastic polymer. Its glass transition temperature is approximately 105 °C (221 °F). ABS is amorphous and therefore has no true melting point.
Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) demonstrates the same ease of fabrication and formability as HIPS, but provides much higher impact strength, rigidity, durability and chemical resistance. Our stock range covers both smooth and embossed sheets in selected colours, and offers virgin, recycled and flame retardant grades.
ABS is combination of three different materials acrylonitrile, butadiene, and styrene, each giving its own set of useful properties. It has an excellent combination of toughness and Rigidity. Acrylonitrile provides a good chemical corrosion resistance and surface hardness. And Butadiene provides a good toughness and impact resistance. And Styrene provides a good rigidity and mobility, and ease of printing and dyeing .
