Conical silicone rubber plug have a tapered orother shapes to fit various sized openings and provide a secure, watertight seal. The solid, synthetic rubber construction can be cut to an exact length and is very elastic. Commonly used as a bottle stopper for glass containers, in electrical boxes, and various household or shop applications. The tapered shape allows one size stopper to fit variously sized openings.

 What Is a Rubber Stopper?

 A rubber stopper is a small, tapered plug used to seal the openings of test tubes, flasks and other laboratory glassware.

Stoppers made of cork are also available for this purpose. However, rubber stoppers are preferable for applications that

require a tighter seal or a greater degree of chemical resistance.
Purpose

 The primary purpose of a rubber stopper is to prevent a gas or liquid from escaping its container during a

scientific experiment. Rubber stoppers can also prevent the contamination of samples by protecting the

contents of laboratory glassware from air. Last, the use of rubber stoppers allows experimenters to shake

or mix solutions without spilling them.

 Shape

 The standard stopper is cylindrical in shape, with a tapered bottom end. Some rubber stoppers

contain one or two holes to allow the insertion of pipettes, tubing or test equipment (e.g., a thermometer).

 Size

Rubber stoppers typically range in diameter from size 000 (0.5 inches) to size 16 (5 inches) at the top.

The tapered bottom end ranges from fivesixteenths to 3.5 inches. Smaller stoppers are appropriate

for test tubes and similar glassware; larger stoppers are appropriate for flasks and beakers.

Properties

 The main properties that make rubber suitable for use as a laboratory stopper are its elasticity,

chemical resistance and impermeability. Its elasticity allows it to form a tight seal against the inside

of the glassware. Its chemical resistance makes it safe for use with many corrosive and otherwise reactive

compounds. Its impermeability helps to prevent the escape of liquids and gases from the container.

Rubber Plugs Types and Practical Uses:

Rubber Plus Plugs 

The rubber plus plug is designed with a 360° flange or pull tab, 

making them useful in the manufacturing processes as well as shipping. 

These types of plugs are often re-used.

Rubber T-Plugs 

The rubber t-plugs are typically tapered to allow insertion 

into tubing ends, ports and threads, protecting the product during shipping 

and storage.

Electrical Connector Plugs 

The electrical connector plug is most often used to 

protect female threaded electrical connectors from oxygen, moisture and dust.

Rubber Washer Plugs 

The rubber washer plug acts much like a rubber t-plug 

but also mask the area surrounding the hole. Often used in paint, 

powerder-coating, and plating. Usually made from high temperature 

rated rubber, allowing them to be re-used.

Product Manufacturing Process:

1. Product Design
In this phase, all work are based on blueprint from buyers, if there's no such blueprint available, you can show us sample and we help design accordingly for your confirmation; In case both materials are unavailable, just the stuff that the product goes with is ok, we can discuss together to work it out, this won'tharge you anything, we promise. 

2. Open Rubber Toy Tyre / Shredded Tyres / Tyre Product Mold
Molding is done through our CNC machine according to the design previously finished. For some silicon-based products, this has to take you more time as it is more complicated, it has to be subject to EDM process. For this situation, 7~12 working days are normal.
